The 10 acre Harrietsfield Landfill site  located in Nova Scotia, is comprised of contaminated soil, buildings, and recycling debris; the remains of a former recycling salvage yard. The province of Nova Scotia and the federal government have committed $15 million dollars to the cleanup fund in order to restore groundwater and thus repair the well water for local residents.

Allnorth was retained by AECOM (NS Lands) to complete underground clearance services (ground penetrating radar) of the site prior to the start of environmental borehole intrusive drilling.

Afterwards, Allnorth was engaged to complete a topographic survey of the landfill as well as the surrounding forested areas in order to support watershed analysis. The survey requirements included a survey of the edge of Shea Lake plus the inflow and the outflow of the highway. The survey included capturing site features and contour intervals, underground and above ground surface features, and ditch measurements to confirm flow direction.
