EPCOR Water Services Inc. (EPCOR) retained Allnorth to assess all regularly used hatches at the E.L. Smith Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for general asset integrity.
Allnorth was responsible for providing the following engineering services:
- Field assessment of 90 hatches, focused on the structural integrity of the hatches and surrounding beams/supports
- Engineering assessment, judgment, and recommendations
- An opinion of probable cost of recommended improvement options (repairs/replacements)
Allnorth developed a specific set of inspection criteria to evaluate the internal and external state of each hatch based on the condition of its components.
Through continuous communication with the EPCOR team, Allnorth ensured that EPCOR was involved in every step during the investigation and recommendation reporting process.
