Highland Valley Copper mine, located near Logan Lake BC, is one of the world’s largest open pit mines. It has been in operation for over 50 years producing copper and molybdenum concentrates. A new life of mine plan has been developed, extending the mine life to 2027.
As part of this plan, the Highland Valley Copper Primary Crusher Relocation Project involved moving the crusher, transfer tower, conveyors, drives and all related mechanical and electrical equipment.
Allnorth Land Surveyors was initially contracted to perform site quality assurance survey services. Then in the summer of 2014, Allnorth was engaged to provide the re-design of firewater/storm lines along the L1B conveyor, plus civil design services for the heavy lift/haul roads.
