Chazel Solamo

Civil Engineer-in-Training, Kelowna

One of the things I value most about being at Allnorth is the encouragement to step outside my comfort zone with lots of guidance and support along the way. This has enabled me to apply my knowledge and skills to new projects, helping me grow personally and allowing me to explore different possibilities within my discipline. Over the past two years, I have been able to work with clients across various industries, including mining, oil and gas, utilities, forestry, municipalities, and First Nations. There is always something new to learn and having access to experts across all of our offices has been invaluable.

I am also especially grateful for Allnorth’s support of initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement, such as their sponsorship of Women in Consulting Engineering Vancouver and our internal Future Leaders Team. These initiatives, along with our ongoing efforts to establish a Women’s Group within Allnorth, show a genuine commitment to building a workplace where everyone feels supported and seen.

Although it has only been two years, this journey has been incredibly rewarding. I’m excited to see what comes next!

Jaclyn Van Cadsand

Jaclyn Van Cadsand

Project Manager, Terrace

I first got to know Allnorth through my previous job as a project coordinator for a civil construction company. Allnorth stood out to me because of the amount of support I received, regardless of if they were involved in the project or not. They were always happy to take my call to answer questions and made me feel like more than “just a client”. When the time came for a change and an opportunity arose with Allnorth, it was very easy for me to make the move, as I already knew what kind of team I was joining. I have now been with Allnorth for four years and I can easily say the support has never wavered, and again, feel like more than “just an employee”.

Being a part of Allnorth’s Industrial and 3D Reality Capture Team has been an amazing experience so far and has broadened my understanding of Mechanical Design immensely. As a Junior Mechanical Designer, I have had the opportunity to provide office support on our Cenovus Sunrise As-Building project as well as get my feet wet on site at Teck LCO. With access to cutting edge technology & equipment and the support of Allnorth’s incredible team, this opportunity has been tremendous for the development of my career.

Materials Technician, Saskatoon/Ft. McMurray

Since becoming a member of the Allnorth Fort McMurray team, I have had the privilege of collaborating on exceptional projects with outstanding colleagues. The empowering and innovative ethos permeating Allnorth is readily apparent in our daily operations, and I deeply appreciate the substantial support provided within this organization.  One of the standout aspects of my tenure so far at Allnorth has been to work in an environment where seasoned team members with a proactive mindset, skillful competence, and a positive attitude can thrive and excel.  Finally, I want to thank my manager Mr. Ernest Arsenault for giving me this opportunity.

Donna Smith

Project Administrator – Saskatoon

I have worked for Allnorth since I was 22 and I’m turning 34 next month.  I have seen people come and go and have seen the company go from high to low, low to high – we always seem to figure it out and come out on top! I have 2 co-workers who I call my best friends! I have left to work for another company for 6 months only to come back to arms wide open.

I consider myself to be Allnorth’s #1 fan and #1 Hype Girl! I love all aspects of the company and have nothing but positive things to say about it. The Saskatoon division has truly been a home away from home. I wake up not at all dreading to come to work because I work with people who make the environment fun and easy! We can be ourselves in this work environment while also knowing when to be professional. Work hard, play harder!

Kathleen Coyne

Process Engineer-in-Training, Calgary

Joining the Calgary Industrial team at Allnorth has been an amazing journey so far that has provided me with invaluable experience. I am surrounded by incredibly talented people every day who mentor and inspire me to work hard. As a Process EIT, I have worked on many amazing projects that have provided me with technical skills and knowledge that I will use for the rest of my career. My favorite project has been the As-Building of Cenovus’ Sunrise Facility. This allowed me to go to the field for the first time, where I met so many amazing people and gained hands-on experience. I cannot wait to see what my future at Allnorth holds!

I have had the pleasure of working on a variety of different projects alongside many Allnorth team members, which has allowed me to gain invaluable experience as a young professional! A highlight of my career so far was being involved in the design of the installation system for the new Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant outfall diffuser pipes.

Simarpreet Singh

Structural Engineer, Vancouver

Being a part of the Allnorth Infrastructure team in my formative years has been crucial for my development as a structural engineer and a bridge designer. I have been fortunate in being able to work on the Broadway SkyTrain Expansion Project under the guidance of experienced and passionate engineers here, which has provided me with remarkable experience in bringing a design of such a big scale to reality!

Robert Parsons

Project Coordinator, St. John’s

Allnorth has helped me achieve a better work-life balance. Even though I enjoy my job, work is still work, so the people you spend your days with at the office, or on the job site, can make all the difference. For me, Allnorth seems to have found the sweet spot of hiring awesome people, who are also extremely competent and technical leaders in their fields – powering our tremendous growth, delighting our clients, and having some fun along the way.

Thomas Creron
