Allnorth has expanded its ICE, commissioning & start-up and other service offerings with the acquisition of Dynamysk Automation Ltd. in 2024. The following is a demonstration of the bench strength added to our team.
Overview
The client operates an open pit mine located in Northern Alberta. The facility has two main pits and a mine fleet capable of sustaining a production of 14,500 tonnes of oil sand per hour. The customer required a skilled E/I company to validate and track the commissioning and start- up of all the electrical, instrumentation, and automations systems for a greenfield facility.
Our Role
The team was responsible for:
- Instrumentation and electrical commissioning of all field equipment
- Construction walk downs
- Punch list repair Electronic turnover Start-up support
- Developing energization procedures
- Vendor coordination and support
During the execution of this project, and in every process area in the facility, we were responsible for managing the manpower, equipment, and material required to execute the scope of work.
While we are “software agnostic,” in this case, the team used Corsarius Solutions‘ commissioning software, RFO Central, to manage progress reporting as the client’s in-house tools could not deliver timely and accurate completion information.
We also provided detailed cost tracking for the various scopes of work, which allowed the client to have visibility to the ongoing costs.
