Allnorth was requested by Nutrien Lanigan to provide engineering design and detailed construction drawings for multiple inspection platforms on their product dryers and cooler. The inspection platforms included stair access points and walkways connecting the two adjacent dryers with minimal support from the ground floor. The difficulty in the platform design was the restriction of no columns to the ground floor due to equipment access. All platforms were designed for standard height clearances and knee braces from the concrete pedestals.

The conceptual phase scope of work included 3D scanning and concept model to review with Nutrien, preliminary design checks of existing floor steel, and conceptual model of inspection platforms.

Following Nutrien’s approval to proceed, the detailed design phase included engineering design of the platforms and supporting steel, and IFC drawings with staged construction.
