Every two to three years, the Ministry of Forests (MOF) requires a routine inspection of all bridge and major culverts to ensure the continued safety of users by detecting and monitoring problems, identifying and recommending any repairs, and identifying defects or conditions that warrant a detailed inspection.

Allnorth was awarded the tender in spring 2022 and was responsible for carrying out the routine bridge and culvert inspections within the Prince George Natural Resource District. A routine inspection was required on each structure which included a visual inspection, physical (non-destructive) testing and providing options for actions when issues are found in steel, concrete, logs, log stringers, timber and glulam bridge and culvert components. A general inspection report was completed, and photos were also collected at each structure and uploaded to the Corporate Bridge Registry (CBR) system.

Allnorth was also responsible for updating the data under the CBR and providing a signed and sealed inspection assurance statement.
