Nutrien Lanigan retained Allnorth to assess the ventilation requirements for the phase two mill. Using a design vent, a minimum required number of vents was selected for both wet and dry areas of the mill. Allnorth placed as many vents as possible on the roofs to maximize ventilation. Allnorth was asked to expand the scope to cover the loadout area as well.

Allnorth designed frames for the roof vents to be used for the project. Structural analysis was performed on the existing roofs to analyze the existing strength and the effects of additional snow loads caused by adding multiple protrusions. Allnorth designed reinforcements for the roof where the existing steel could not handle the increased loads.
