Allnorth was contracted by WorleyParsonsCord to provide third party materials testing services for the construction of the Tidewater Pipestone Creek Sour Gas Plant, located 30 kilometres west of Grande Prairie, AB.
Allnorth’s scope of work included on-site and laboratory testing of concrete to verify specifications were met for slump, air, temperature, and strength requirements. Grout cubes were also molded in the field and testing in the laboratory to ensure compressive strength requirements were met. Samples were taken from the field to obtain optimal results for standard and clay proctors as well as sieve tests for granular material. These results were used to verify material specifications for gradation and maximum dry density for comparison when conducting compaction testing in the field to ensure compaction percentage and soil moisture specifications were achieved.
