Red Chris is a 30,000 tonne per day open pit copper mine located in northwest British Columbia, 80 kilometres south of Dease Lake.
In 2012, Tahltan-Allnorth was awarded an ongoing contract to provide onsite CCIL certified concrete and material testing, plus quality control services for the construction of the Red Chris mine.
In 2013 the scope of work was expanded to include materials testing for aggregate sources and compaction testing for the 287 kV Northwest Transmission Line construction.
In 2014 Tahltan-Allnorth was also awarded the contract for the provision of quality assurance and surveying services for the Tailings Impoundment Dams. This work was originally undertaken for the general contractor and in 2016 transitioned to the Red Chris Development Company Ltd.
