The Côté Gold Project is located in the Chester and Yeo Townships, District of Sudbury, in northeastern Ontario. It is approximately 25 km southwest of Gogama, 125 km southwest of Timmins, and 175 km northwest of Sudbury, roughly 5 km west of Highway 144.
North American Nuna JV (Nuna) engaged Allnorth to provide quality control (QC) materials testing, and an onsite laboratory, to support the work for the tailings management facility (TMF) earthworks, water realignment channel (WRC) dams, mine rock area (MRA), water management and pre-stripping projects at the mine.
Allnorth’s scope of work included aggregate production quality control, field nuclear compaction testing, onsite laboratory soils testing, field concrete testing for slump, air and temperature as per CSA, and offsite laboratory compressive strength testing. Allnorth was also responsible for providing overburden inspection services as well as environmental PAG sampling and monitoring.
Throughout the project, Allnorth upheld high-quality standards, delivering materials testing services on time and within budget, exceeding client expectations considering the challenges presented during the COVID-19 pandemic.
