The Bow City Self Storage Facility is a commercial storage facility in downtown Calgary on 10th Street SW. The six-storey self-storage building contains approximately 92,000 square feet of net rentable area, including a 32,000 square-foot warehouse leased to the vendor.
For this project, Allnorth completed the site servicing and grading design, stormwater management design and construction supervision. A challenge on this project was the adequacy of the water supply. The City’s water supply needed to be evaluated for adequate pressure and to meet the flow for provision of fire fighting for multi-storey storage building code. Hydrant pressure testing and flow calculations were completed after consultations with the City’s fire department.
This unique storage facility is slated to open in late 2020.
