Allnorth was the prime consultant in the design and project management of a new collector system and wastewater treatment facility in the Town of Bishop’s Falls. The project won the 2015 Project of the Year award from the Atlantic Canada Water and Wastewater Association.
As Prime Consultant, Allnorth’s key responsibilities included, Project management and design of a 7.5 km long collector system through the Town of Bishop’s Falls. The project required tying into existing civil infrastructure and to be designed in a manner that would not affect existing development. The design included nine sewage pumping stations of various capacities and new SCADA systems. Site selection for an approx. 60 ha sized engineered wetlands treatment system and conceptual site and building design for headworks building
Mechanical and electrical design was completed by a subconsultant under the direction of Allnorth.
The selection of a site of suitable topography and size with the required proximity to the local services was an important aspect of the projects, as was the management of budgets from a number of different funding programs (BCF, CWWF, MCW).
