Allnorth was engaged to evaluate process/equipment options and benefits, specify equipment, complete budget capital cost estimates, and perform detail and field engineering for upgrading an existing single-stage oxygen delignification system to a 1,664 tonne per day (tpd) twin tower, double-stage oxygen delignification system.
Laser point-cloud scanning of the existing plant was coupled with 3D-design and remote “webinar” online model reviews with the client to facilitate optimal equipment placement and routing of piping; this allowed for completion of detail engineering for this challenging, space constrained retrofit in just 14 weeks.
Allnorth also provided field engineering support for the client during an aggressive 3-month construction/commissioning period involving carefully sequenced pre-shutdown, shutdown and post-shutdown work.
