Sierra Yoyo Desan (SYD) Road Upgrade
Allnorth provided technical services, including survey and compaction testing, quality management, traffic management and environmental management services for the Sierra Yoyo Desan (SYD) road upgrade project along Kilometre 90-121. Allnorth also provided environmental monitoring of construction activities. Services included developing and writing the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and Environmental Protection Plans (EPPs); and environmental monitoring of the road upgrade and bridge construction, including fish and wildlife monitoring.

About this oil and gas project
This project relates to the upgrade of the Sierra Yoyo Desan (SYD) Road from km 90 to km 121 near Fort Nelson, British Columbia. The project consisted of upgrades to certain segments of the existing road with a new cross-sectional design to improve the durability and travel condition of the road with improved drainage and a dust-controlled gravel running surface. This included replacing approximately 22 culverts and upgrading the Snake River Bridge.
