Kutcho Copper Project Access Road, Capstone Mining Corp.
Allnorth’s engineering scope of work for the Kutcho Project consisted of the layout, survey and design of a 123‑kilometre access road, and associated bridges and culverts, that goes from Dease Lake, British Columbia to the mine site. Allnorth completed a comprehensive access management plan to determine the most economical and feasible means of accessing the remote mine site. Other works included a fish compensation stream survey, a drill collar survey and the establishment of geodetic control. Close coordination with consulting groups and government agencies was key to the success of this project. (See also: Kutcho Copper Project Environmental Assessment.)
Allnorth’s responsibilities for this project included:
- Project management
- Engineering cost estimates
- Road development assessment
- RTK GPS Survey
- Base map acquisition, amalgamation and comprehensive review
- Detailed field assessment
- Identification of stream crossings along corridor
