Engineering Services for the Town of Ponoka, AB
The Town of Ponoka shortlisted Allnorth as one of two consultants to provide engineering services to the Town during a three-year term standing offer. Allnorth provided design, tender and construction services on a number of projects within the Town’s jurisdiction during this period .
Projects included the extension of the force main into Lagoon #3 at the wastewater treatment facility, tender preparation and construction administration. Replacement of a section of water main along 50 Street through hydrocarbon contaminated soils including reconnection of an existing service and surface restorations. This was done by using directional drilling to limit the amount of contaminated soil that needed to be disposed of. The work also included an investigation of drainage issues causing ponding on the Town of Ponoka Golf Course. The problem was identified and a solution prepared and delivered to the Golf Course for rectification.
Allnorth undertook a highly detailed survey of the airport to identify the extent of rutting caused by a local race club, and prepared a cost estimate for repairs. Allnorth also coordinated the cost estimates for the reconstruction of the Town Hall due to air quality issues.
Allnorth is currently providing ongoing GIS services for the Town of Ponoka.
