Albian Sands Tailings Project

Allnorth was responsible for engineering and design work for this project at the Albian Sands Jack Pine Mine site located approximately 70km north of Fort McMurray, AB. Allnorth’s scope of work included the design of rigid foundations that eliminated the need for piled foundations, mechanical equipment and piping layouts, modular building design to maximize off-site fabrication of six booster pumping stations, site and road design for maintenance and service access to the buildings, and civil engineering design of two emergency dump ponds. The project was successfully completed by working very closely with the client and as part of the overall project team that included AMEC-Colt JV, Klohn Crippen Berger, and JV Driver Projects.
