Micro-Hydro Project - Serpentine Creek

The Serpentine Creek Micro-Hydro Project was a proposed run-of-river project that involved constructing a small hydro power generating station on Serpentine Creek. This creek is a tributary of the North Thompson River and located near Valemount, BC. The power house was proposed to be located at approximately 4.5km along the Pyramid Forestry Service Road. This facility would be capable of generating approximately 35GWh/year and would have a capacity of 9MW (2 Pelton Turbines).

  • Concept Design / Preliminary Engineering for:
       - Intake and Splillway
       - 2.3km penstock (buried/exposed)
       - Elevated spans for penstock
       - Thrust blocks
       - Power house and tailrace
