Berland Truss Project

The 91m long clearspan overland pipeline truss over the Berland River was erected with the use of two large cranes. A clearspan option was chosen to eliminate instream pier work and therefore expedite regulatory approval timelines. Access was available to each abutment through the use of an existing vehicle bridge paralleling the truss alignment. The superstructure was located using a large truck and erected using a 100 Ton crane and a 160 Ton crane. The structural design and construction engineering was all completed in house.
