250t Blow Tank

Allnorth completed detail engineering and construction management for the installation of a new 250t Blow Tank at the Prince George Pulp & Paper Mill in Prince George, BC. The new Blow Tank was required to increase high-density storage capacity for the pulp and paper Digesters. The two existing, smaller Blow Tanks were converted into Filtrate Storage Tanks. The existing Blow Tank to Knotter Pumps were relocated to a new Pumphouse, and a new variable speed Dilution Pump was installed to supply filtrate to the new 250t Blow Tank. The project was completed in stages to minimize operational downtime; the mill ran at reduced production rates on one of the existing Blow Tanks while the new system was fully commissioned.
