Screen Room Upgrade

Allnorth was responsible for the capital cost estimate, detail design and construction management for the upgrade to the screen room at Canfor's Prince George Pulp and Paper Mill. The old screen room consisted of two seperate lines of vintage Cowan screens. The new screen room eliminated the vintage Cowan screens with the use of a new Metso primary screen, a re-used Hooper screen as a secondary screen and an Ingersol-Rand tertiary screen. The new screen room is a single line modern screen room design. The project construction was completed without interrupting mill production. This project was a fast-track engineering and construction schedule. Project detail engineering started in June 2005, and the project was operational in October 2005.
