Spill Containment Boom and Reel

Allnorth was responsible for the detailed engineering and design of a 340 meter spill containment boom and storage system, which was designed to contain and manage a canola oil spill around ships in the event of an emergency. Allnorth was also responsible for the construction management for the project. The challenges faced during the project included developing a design that allowed the existing ship berthing and loading operation stobe integrated with the process of deploying and retracting the spill boom system. The project involved detail design engineering and construction site coordination.
