Allnorth was responsible for the engineering, detailing and project management for a walkway from shore to a floating lead for maintenance crew access. Two aluminum trussed walkway spans and a ramp landing on a float was designed. The walkway spans were supported on existing wing wall piles. The wing wall moved laterally when vessels docked, while the floating lead moved vertically with tide and sideways with wash, these constraints were solved by our structural design. Project management, Environmental monitoring and reporting on fabrication, installation and coordination were major functions of this project.
