Job Summary
The position is responsible for road administration including planning, construction, maintenance and deactivation, performing bridge and road construction supervision and certification, site plan surveys, road traversing, grade-staking, bridge design and layout, culvert design and layout, road design and layout, project management, contract development, road and bridge inspections, design drawing review and approval, engineering estimates for construction projects.


Education/Training
The successful candidate will possess a forestry degree or diploma in forest technology and be registered or eligible for registration with a professional association.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with forestry road layout, construction supervision and regulatory permitting; as well as GPS survey, stream crossings, site plan surveys and report preparation. A strong working knowledge of best management forest practices and forest rules and regulation is required. The successful candidate will possess a forestry degree or diploma in forest technology and be registered or eligible for registration with a professional association.

Experience in strategic and operational planning, government and public consultation, GIS and Micro station applications, block and road layout, GPS traversing, bridge inspections, site plans, siviculture prescriptions and logging plan development, database development and post-harvest surveys would be an asset.
